So I saw the update and didn’t install it yet do to a very bad internet conection. But now that I have a good connection I notice that if I click on TextGuru to update it, it says that it is version 1.0 and it is installed? Apple needs to fix this!!! The update to fix 2.1 crap come out and it is screwie!

Sorry for cluttering the comments but I looked into it more and Itunes on the computer does not show that Text Guru is at 1.0.5 but shows it at 1.0 still!? Very weird, cause the iPhone shows an update- at least till you try to install it. I guess I still have to wait! I think I might cry! Hurry up APPLE!

I experienced the same oddness; it showed up as an update on the iPhone but could not be installed (update button did not appear-only a grayed out installed button). I was able to install from iTunes though. It is awesome.
A manual would be nice though - is one available?

I don’t see how you guys can put up with the crap Apple is doing to you and other developers with the App Store.
Kudos for the release. I’m still trying to buy it though. The AppStore is being slow to update.

umm… We need a the forum be
Implimented for this app. There are a few bugs I have seen and would like to be able to provide you with that feed back but feel that the comments section is not the appropriate place. - where should I do that?
Thanks for all your hard work!

Steve, this update allows landscape editing

Nice improvements. It did crash on me once, but I’ll write that off as a fluke for now.
On two occasions it displayed a black screen when returning to the Documents screen from editing a file.
(Full WebDAV support would be a nice addition in the future.
).
At any rate, the improvements you’ve made are excellent and welcomed. Keep up the good work.

I am loving the improvement!!!
Just a few Bugs I have found so far:
1-When viewing in landscape (and some times in portrait) the navigation bar at the bottom shows up when in the ‘Web Preview’ but not at the bottom - in Landscape mode it shows up on the side making it impossible to select the ‘Done’ button.
Note: I don’t think the Bottom navigation bar should show up in the web preview mode at all.
2-Rotation from Landscape to Portrait is very buggy - sometimes it will not go back to portrait.
3-When in landscape mode there is no ‘Documents’ Navigation button in the top right like there is in portrait mode - it just disappears as you rotate to landscape.
4-I am still seeing at times when navigating back to the documents page that the documents do not show up - I have to switch to one of the other navigation buttons on the bottom then back to ‘Documents’
5- Not a bug but if possible the start time for this app is maybe slightly too long of a wait.
Developer - Please feel free to get in touch with me if you need any further feed back(Screen Shots) I would love to help because as I have said before this App is Awesome and I would love to be able to help in any way!

I have updated TextGuru via iTunes, and syncronized ( and I saw info about updating TextGuru on the phone in the iTunes-display). But the app at my phone is still 1.0 - what to do???

i have noticed the same bugs recently reported here. the start up time is a bit long. also, whenever i delete something it reappears on the main screen after viewing another file. aside from the bugs listed here i’m very pleased with the update and the app in general!

Anyone else have trouble with Textguru crashing? At times it will launch consistently with no issues, then I’ll have periods of hours when it crashes at launch: after hanging on the blank documents screen for 10-15 seconds, the app goes down. Once it starts doing this, it will be hours before it will launch again. It will suddenly, with no provocation, start launching again fine. Restarting the iPhone does nothing to help.

wonderful software, especially in the 1.05 version.
but: urgently needed…
a) windows file upload / exchange access
b) a decent manual/help section on the web site.

Great product. Thanks for the update. I have a couple of minor suggestions:
1) The obstruction of the last line in a document by the toolbar makes it a bit frustrating to edit.
2) When I cut any text the document scrolls to the end.
3) I like the navigation buttons. However, I think they would be more usefully if they simple scrolled to the next visible text area (like paging).
4) When you enter edit mode, it would be nice if the document did not automatically scroll to the top.

1. In the current version that I have, I don’t see how to save a file that I’ve created, and I see no mention of it in help.
2. How do I get my free upgrade to 1.0.5?
September 21st, 2008 at 1:13 am
I don’t see the Home and End navigation buttons. I have downloaded a 1000-page PDF file of over 6 MB, but there is no way to navigate except to swipe page by page. Even Home and End buttons would not be enough, if they were there. Going to a specific page is needed (as well as going to a particular percentage into the file).

Hi, I was thinking of getting TextGuru but I’m confused: does it edit Word docs, or not? And if it doesn’t edit Word docs, what *does* it edit?

I just purchased Textguru and, like Claire, want to get some Word files from my Mac to my iPhone. I’ve downloaded the free software, and I’ve synced a few times, but the files aren’t on the phone. So far, I haven’t been able to find any directions that would help.
Help?!?
