This week, Apple released the new iPhone/iPod touch firmware, on release, we got our hands on it early on our testing devices and found an issue with the application crashing on saving a file. After further investigation, our team of developers determined that this was caused by a bug introduced in the iPhone/iPod 2.1 Software Update.
That being said, our developers cranked in some overtime and have already fixed that issue. The update has already been submitted to the AppStore and is awaiting approval from Apple, which will hopefully be tomorrow or within the next 2 to 3 days.
Also, due to repeated enquiries, we would like to state that all these updates will be FREE to those who have already bought the app!
On another note, we’re proud to announce that our TextGuru File Server application for Windows is nearing its final stages of development and will be released soon for FREE ! So, keep checking our blog for updates!
Cheers!

Thank you so much! I just downloaded apple update 2.1 for the iPhone. I was trying to save documents and it kept crashing, so I came to your site to complain but I found out you had already submitted a fixed version! I really appreciate you finding this bug and fixing it. I just have one question/concern though. The copy/paste function is not working for me. Is a fix for this included in the update?

Good job! I checked update at AppStore twice a day last week.

Cut/copy and paste function, and find/replace function are basic requirement for business use. It’s too hard to retype same phrases many times. But current version does not have the way for Japanese text.
I hope to get new one soon.

Just want to say that the update better come quick I love this app but the second I click ‘DONE’ when editing or creating a new document the APP crashes so it is rendered completely useless! I blame this not on the DEV’s of the APP but of Apples lack of ability to get APP’s reviewed and processed to the APP Store.
On another Note will there be a file Server for Mac?

@CADer:
This was not an issue of testing or reviewing at all, TextGuru 1.0 works without a hitch on iPhone OS 2.0, but Apple introduced changes in 2.1 without informing us or giving us a chance to test the app in the new environment. As soon as 2.1 was released for the iPod, we tested the app, found the bug and submitted the fix within minutes. Hopefully Apple doesn’t take too long reviewing the next update, because they are going to be inconveniencing thousands of customers.
As far as the fileserver is concerned, currently the only fileserver available *is* for Mac
just go to http://brancipater.com/blog/downloads/ and download the appropriate fileserver for your system.

Are there any expectations of a spell check on the way? I would like to think I’m a proper speller, but it’s always better to be safe! I would easily spend 10$ on this app if it saved me from sending a client a mistake ridden document/email.

Thank you for update! I can now edit Japanese text string without word-delimitting spaces
easily.

Very nice app!
But what about support for RTF (because of writing bold and italic and underlined), PHP and SQLite (so I can write and test little PHP-apps straight on the phone/touch)? Is that possible?

when will the windows server be ready?
meanwhile, how can i upload documents to my iphone to read or edit?

ok, silly question … but i noticed that when the cut/paste/copy feature is mentioned, does this include all applications? or just the supported apps (eg. ms office, pdf, plain text)?
