Other developers, please be wary of Nicky11111’s reviews. He also goes by the name of NDMApple or ndmipodtouch. As you can see from here (direct iTunes store link) he boosts his own apps’ reviews. (note: after being confronted he appears to have changed his iTunes nickname to “Lou M”. The links are still valid, though).
Please, if you’re reviewing TextGuru, make sure you have actually USED the application and your review is HONEST and CONSTRUCTIVE. Otherwise, we can’t really help in improving what you may have not liked about it.
@digitalis_89: The save-not-asking-for-confirmation-on-overwrite problem is TOTALLY our fault. We rewrote some of the save code and apparently forgot to put the dialog back in. Not something a developer would like to forget. It will be fixed in the next version, which should be coming very shortly. I agree entirely on the ability to rotate while typing, as the horizontal/landscape keyboard is so much easier to use, so we will work on that as well.
@John Romano: The autorotation actually wasn’t supposed to be implemented (at least not in the current version). Not sure why it is rotating, but it will be either removed in the next version, or fixed so it works properly. The app autosaves every 60.0 seconds, we will implement an option for this shortly.
@Joey Livingston: Like I said, we will be working on the landscape mode. It might not be in the next update, there can be a lot of problems with rotation.
@bhima: Can you please provide some information about the problems with your the file server? We haven’t seen any issues with it, besides yours. Does it just not work? Does it crash?
Based on what we’ve seen, the next update of TextGuru will likely be a “bugfix build,” and should be coming (at most) within a few days.
Also, to pugin of the iPhone UK Store:
| There is indeed a help button. We hadn’t imagined it would require extensive amounts of sleuthing to find, though. Sorry for the inconvenience. | ![]() |
